A 31-year-old bricklayer, Wakili Ganiyu has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the State capital, for unlawfully setting one Hajue Suzuki Motorcycle ablaze.

It was gathered that Ganiyu stole the asset from his neighbour(name undisclosed) with the earnest desire of burning and selling it for scraps to the scavengers.

Prosecutor Joshua Oladoye told the court that the accused on the 14th of October, 2017 at about 1:pm at No.26,Odetoyinbo Street, behind Ayegbaju Market, unlawfully possessed one Hajue Suzuki Motorcycle of N60,000.

He said the accused set the motorcycle ablaze on the same date, time and place.

Wakili pleaded guilty to the two-count charge preferred against him as he was not legally represented.

In her ruling, Magistrate Fatimah Sodamade granted the accused the bail of N50,000 with one surety and adjourned the case till November 20,for hearing.
