Men Docked for stealing neighbour's 400 concrete Blocks in Osun

The Osun State Police Command has arraigned three men before a Magistrate's Court in Osogbo, over an alleged theft of 400 blocks and destruction of neighbour's building of N1.5million.

The accused persons include:Waheed Adetunbi ,(40),Oladeji Olanrewaju (42) and Taiwo Azeez aged 38.

The trio were arraigned on a four-count charge of conspiracy,theft,malicious damage,among others.

Prosecutor Rasaki Lamidi told the court that the accused persons in the year 2017 at Akede Iyaloja Area,Osogbo(Time and month were not pronounced)stole 400 Blocks belonging to one Rasaki Sulaiman.

Lamidi said the accused persons on the aforementioned date, and place unlawfully damaged an erected uncompleted building of Sulaiman,valued 1.5million naira.

He argued that the offences committed by the accused contravened sections 516,383,451,81 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

While their counsel,Barrister Sunday Atofarati applied for the bail of his clients in the most liberal terms.

In her ruling, Magistrate Habibat Bashiru granted the three accused persons the bail of N100,000 each with two sureties and adjourned the case till December 1, for definite hearing.
