BEVERLY HILLS, May 2, (THEWILL) – The Presidential panel investigating the $43.45million found in an Osborne-Ikoyi Lagos apartment and the allegations of corruption against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) will submit its report to President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday .

This was disclosed by the Attorney-general and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami, in an interaction with newsmen in Abuja after conferring with President Buhari on Tuesday evening.

The committee, chaired by the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has Malami and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno as members.

THEWILL recalls that the committee grilled Ambassador Ayo Oke, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), which had claimed ownership of the money as exclusively reported by THEWILL.

According to sources, Oke told the committee that the money was approved by former President Goodluck Jonathan as he also insisted that the NSA was also aware of the money.

However, other NIA top brass reportedly accused Oke of running a one-man show as regards the financials of the agency and falling to carry them along.

The Committee also met with the suspended SGF, David Babachir Lawal, on the contract awarded in respect of grass cutting at some IDP camps in the North east of Nigeria which he allegedly awarded to companies where he had interests.
