Police arraign Gen. repairer for defrauding customer

The Osun State Police Command on Thursday arraigned a 28- year old generator repairer, Wasiu Aderemi before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for allegedly defrauding one of his customers.

Police prosecutor, Ajayi Sunday told the court that sometimes in December 2016, the accused person obtained the sum of N6,600 from one Adewumi Femi with pretence to repair one Elepaq generator for him.

He said the accused person also stole the generator valued N65,000 property of one Adewumi Femi with pretence to repair it for him.

He added that the offences committed by the accused person contravened sections 390(9) and 419(1) of Criminal Code Cap 34, volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.

In his plea, the accused person however pleaded not guilty of the offences and his counsel, Barrister Adegoke Ogunsola implored the court for his bail in the most liberal terms.

In her ruling, Magistrate Adenike Olowolagba granted the accused person the bail of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till 22nd, June 2017.
