Men arraigned for inflicting head cut on another man in Osun

The Osun State Police command on Tuesday, arraigned three men before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for allegedly inflicting a deep cut on the head of one Azeez Ismaila.

The three accused persons include Olabiyi Kabiru, Alabi Ishola and Taokeef Oseni.

Police prosecutor, Olayiwola Rasaq briefed the court that the three accused persons conspired to commit the crime on the 4th of January, 2017 around Adunni Olosa area in Osogbo.

He said the trio also attacked one Abibat Wahab and one Basirat Ishola on the same day and wounded them severely too.

He explained that the offence committed by the trio is contrary to and punishable under sections 351, 355 and 516 of Criminal Code Cap 34, volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.

The accused persons however pleaded not guilty of the charge levelled against them.

Their counsel, Barrister Okobe Nagite implored the court to grant the trio bail in the most liberal terms.

In her judgment, Magistrate Falilat Sodamade granted the trio the bail of N50,000 with one surety in like sum each and adjourned the case till the 25th of May, 2017.
