School administrators have been described as the most important contributors to the initial moulding of the character of any child.

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, stated this when he led a delegation of Our Lady of Fatima Boys College, Auchi, (Old Boys' Association) on a courtesy visit to their former Principal, Mr. Martin Onwudili, at the weekend at his Ibusa residence in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

He said that a classroom teacher is the most visible person in a child’s life in school, adding however, that it is the Principal who is responsible for providing high- quality education for all students.

Mr. Ukah stated that Mr. Onwudili during their days in secondary school, took responsibility for their school successes, led teaching and learning, and ensured that teachers impacted sound moral knowledge on them.

He averred that the problems of the school were that of the Principal then as he never hesitated in trying to solve them, adding that he was creative in problem-solving and approached challenges with an entrepreneurial attitude.

The Commissioner for Information recounted his memorable experience with the Principal and described him as one of the best things that happened to him when he was in secondary school.

In his response, Mr. Onwudili thanked the Old Boys Association of Our Lady of Fatima Boys College, Auchi, and Mr. Ukah for the unprecedented visit to him.

He tasked them on nation-building and urged them to use their positions in upgrading the standard of education in Nigeria.
