Buhari orders probe into projects by 9 federal universities

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday ordered a tour of the 9 federal universities established by the past administration to probe the execution of projects by the respective universities.

In his speech at the maiden convocation of federal university, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, FUNAI, Ebonyi state, Buhari noted that his

administration will not condone corruption in the federal universities.

Represented by the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, NUC, Professor Rasheed Adamu Abaubakar, he remarked that universities must be example in good governance and financial management.

'No room for corruption in the academic sector. very soon, we will take tour of all projects executed by our new federal universities to ensure that funds allocated to them are judiciously utilized.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba. Charged the graduand to be good ambassadors of the institution adding that with the level of trainings they had acquired from the institution, nothing can stop them from achieving their goals in life.
