Adamawa State Governor Flags Off Another Road Construction In Guyuk

Adamawa state governor, Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow has flagged off another road construction in Guyuk Local government township roads.

According to the governor, the project is in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the communities and assured them of a fair and objective allocation of capital projects and infrastructures.

While in Guyuk he praised the development effort of Hon. Sunday Peter, the Lawmaker representing the area in the state of passing meaningful bills that will help the general public of the state.

Peter who is the Deputy Speaker in the State House of Assembly is consider by the Governor as a loyal legislature, who is instrumental for the realisation of the project in the area adding that, the palace of Kinde Nugura will also be renovated in due time.

Peter then commended the Governor for the recent approval of the engagement of 250 youths, stressing that the people of the area are grateful to the administration led by Bindow who is all round working for the good people of the area.

Speaking earlier, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abba Jimeta, said an additional 59 meters of road will be provided by the contracting company as part of its corporate social responsibility. He then stated that the rural roads from Banjiram to Chikila and Koh to Boshikiri will be captured in the 2017 budget under the Rural Assess Mobility project (RAMP).

Abba also urged the people of the area to be cooperative and tasked the construction company on the engagement of youths in the area for menial jobs.

In her remark, commissioner for works, Barrister Lillian Stephen said the construction work is 2.5 kilometers with 400 meters dual carriageway and drainages in the township road.

She also called on the people of the area to give the company the much needed support and cooperation and desist from dumping of refuse in the drainages.

In his speech, the representative of Traicta Construction company, Engineer Mirkan assured the governor and the people of Adamawa state of a quality and timely work in accordance with the contract terms.
