Yoruba Youth Commiserates With Akwa Ibom State Over Church Collapse

The National Committee of Yoruba Youth (NCYY), have commiserated with the government and people of Akwa Ibom State, over the tragic incident of the collapse of the Reigners Bible Church in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, over the weekend, claming lives and injuring several others.

In a statement issued in Lagos and signed by its President, Prince Oladimeji Odeyemi, the group said it was deeply touched by the incidence and shares in the grief of the Christian body and the entire people of Akwa Ibom State.

The group appeaciated God for sparing the life of Governor Emmanuel Udom and other worshippers at the church, who managed to escape unhurt during the sad incidence.

The statement further urged the government and people of the State, particularly those who lost their loved ones, to see the death of their beloved ones as an act of God, and urged everyone to continue to pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Youth also prayed God to grant the State and the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.
