The man shot was identified as Meebara Kormaga,‎ a 25-year-old that came out to vote.

Meanwhile, in Khana, Senator Lee Maeba, claimed that INEC is yet to arrive the area with voting materials. The area has about 24 voting units and have not voted. He further alleged that security operatives have hijacked the materials and handed over to Derrick Mene, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Voters in that area said that Mene is using policemen attached to the NDDC to terrorize them.

Nimasa boss Peterside Dakuku has also alleged that thugs from outside the state are terrorizing voters.

There are unconfirmed reports that INEC has canceled the election in ward 9 unit 3 of Ogu/Bolo LGA over election violence and material snatching. Some party supporters had carted away result sheets in the unit, raising accusation between APC and PDP claiming the other masterminded the illegal acts.
