Supreme Court Upholds Ayade As Cross River Governor

BEVERLY HILLS, December 09, (THEWILL) – The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prof. Ben Ayade, in the last governorship election in Cross River as the Governor of the state.

Joe Agi, who came second in the primary election of the PDP held in December 2014, had asked the apex court to sack Ayade over false declaration of age

But the panel of Supreme Court justices held that Agi could not prove the allegation he levelled against the Governor.
