Real estate mogul Donald Trump, the billionaire president-elect, will officially be leaving his business “in total.”

Trump announced Wednesday that he'll be holding a press conference with his kids in two weeks to discuss the move.

“I will be holding a major news conference in New York City with my children on December 15 to discuss the fact that I will be leaving my great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

“While I am not mandated to do this under the law, I feel it is visually important, as President, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses,” he wrote.

“Hence, legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations. The Presidency is a far more important task!” he added.

Trump has been receiving scrutiny since his election to the presidency this month for perceived conflicts of interest that might arise from running the country and his business at the same time.

Trump lawyer Michael Cohen has said that Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric — the adult children of the president-elect — will run the company via a blind trust while Donald Trump is president.

“He's very comfortable with them at the helm and the people that will surround them,” Cohen told Politico three weeks ago.
