SAN FRANCISCO, November 18, (THEWILL) – Chief Olusola Oke, governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in Ondo State Gubernatorial election, has debunked reports of his purported arrest by the military.

Oke said that the news of his arrest was the handiwork of his political detractors, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party led by the State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, to tarnish his image.

Speaking through his media aide, Kolawole Olabisi, Oke said he was not arrested at any time by either the military or any other law enforcement agents.

He noted that he had since his declaration for the post of governor been moving round all parts of the state to solicit for support of the masses.

“The PDP resolved to peddle the rumour of Oke's arrest and use the social media to circulate it, as a result of the indefinite adjournment given by the Court of Appeal in Abuja,” he said.

“The PDP led by Governor Olusegun Mimiko is afraid of Olusola Oke, especially with the court decision which did not favour them, hence the baseless rumour.”
