Loss Of The Nwigwe's Is A Painful Tragedy – Obiano

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has described the loss of five members of the Nwigwe family of Urunnebo, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government as a painful loss. The governor who was represented by the Head of Service, Prince Harry Uduh stated this today at the burial of the victims including a wife, Francisca; three children: Chisom, Ebubechukwu, Ifechukwu and a house-help already buried at Ihiala her home town.

‎Consoling the bereaved the governor said: "What can you tell a man that lost his wife and four children? It is a very painful loss. I believe in my heart that there is nothing God cannot do. He will surely give the family the fortitude to bear the loss."

The governor told the family that the government and Ndi Anambra are standing ‎with them at this moment of grief and assured that the state will render assistance to assuage their immediate needs.

In her Condolence message, the Wife of the governor, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano, told the Mr. Hyacinth Nwigwe the husband who survived the accident, “take heart and be strong in faith because God in His infinite mercy kept you alife for a good purpose.”

The family was involved in a tragic road accident which left the husband, Hyacinth with broken leg on their way from Pilgrimage at Holy Land, Olo, Enugu State on September 16, 2016.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Messrs. Emeka Ozumba and Uche Nworah from Enugwu-Ukwu were part of government delegation.
