Buhari, #bbog, Excited With Release Of Another Chibok Girl

SAN FRANCISCO, November 06, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has saluted the efforts of the Nigerian Army for rescuing another Chibok schoolgirl, Maryam Ali Maiyanga.

The President commended the soldiers for their gallant efforts to secure the people and territory of Nigeria, describing them as the nation's heroes.

“I have received the heart-warming news of the rescue of another of our Chibok girls by the Nigerian Army,” the President said via his tweeter handle.

“I commend our troops, who continue to work gallantly to secure the people and territory of Nigeria. You are our heroes.

“No man, woman, or child will be left at the mercy of Boko Haram. This has always been our promise and we fully intend to keep it.”

Similarly, the #BringBackOur-Girls (#BBOG) group has applauded the federal government, the military and other security formations working day and night to rout the terrorists and rescue all Nigerians in captivity.

Confirming the identity of the freed Chibok girl, the group declared that the Maryam was indeed kidnapped along with her twin sister.

Maryam is number 198 on the list of the kidnapped girls while her twin sister, Halima is 197.

THEWILL recalls that the Army handed over Maryam, with her 10-month-old son, to the Borno Government after they were rescued in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area .
