SAN FRANCISCO, November 01, (THEWILL) –  The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into darkness following its inability to offset the N1.7 million debt owed Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC.

THEWILL gathered that the management of AEDC decided to wield the big stick, cutting off electricity supply to the secretariat and have continued to urge organizations and government agencies to offset their bills in order to ensure enhanced service delivery.

A receipt pasted on the gate of the secretariat revealed that the party had only recently paid N500, 000 of the debt.

In the meantime, journalists and staff of the secretariat are said to have contributed some money to power the electricity generator at the premises.

The Party activities had almost ground to a halt due to paucity of funds, as the party had in recent times, relied on the sale of forms to contestants in the last Edo State governorship election and the forthcoming election in Ondo State.

The party reportedly generated over N100 million this year from the sale of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for Edo and Ondo States governorship primaries.
