Her Excellency,
RE: GREAT CONCERN ON A TRENDING VIDEO CLIP CAPABLE OF DESTROYING OUR MORAL VALUE WHICH CARING FAMILY ENHANCEMENT INITIATIVE (CAFE) REPRESENT IN THE STATE AND DIASPORA.

It is with great sense of humility and respect for your kind heart and motherly love that I write you. Since assuming office in 2014 you have maintained an impeccable and Godly role of a kind and loving mother to Anambra State and beyond. Your enabling care and love has continuously provided succour and placed smiles on the lips of the less privileged through your CAFÉ initiative. Through your humanitarian initiative you have also empowered a lot of persons in the state, more especially members of Association of Persons Living with Sickle Cell Disorder, and we truly appreciate your kind gestures.

Following recent developments in the state, and the polity of good governance and morals already heating up, it has become duly pertinent that I write you openly regarding the ongoing trend in the state, not only as a mother but also as a moral crusader.

Your Excellency, it has become imperative to inform you of an uncensored video leak of Miss Anambra, which is now trending on various social media platforms, and has so far elicited diverse opinions and reactions since it appeared online some days ago. The said irritating video had the queen being filmed with another lady, as they were practicing the unholy act of lesbianism. This does not only violate the moral values of our society, but also the laws of the country.

The video which is now viral online poses a serious threat to the moral value of the society, the image of the state, since the said lady caught on tape is a brand representative of the state by the virtue of her winning the pageant for Miss Anambra in 2015. However, it also threatens the values of our young girls who are growing into puberty, as most of them are exposed to the media and can come across such unprotected contents.

I acknowledge your stand and fight for the protection of the girl child, and we plead on you to understand that this video has in many ways punched severe blows to the protection we fight for, as the act being depicted in the video could lead many astray, and is also unsafe for our young girls.

Therefore, it is worthy that we humbly pray you to wade into the matter as soon as possible, not only to redeem the already smeared image of the state in which you are the First Lady, but also to protect the future of our young girls, by finding answers to a lot of questions about the video.

I pray for a full scale and detailed investigation into the matter, the circumstances behind the recording and uploading of such inhumane video, as only a detailed investigation could answer a lot of important questions and lead us close to the truth.

Your Excellency, It is also worthy to note that Anambra State has thrived conspicuously in the Pageant Business, as we have produced a lot of Beauty queens, both Internationally and Nationally. And a deaf ear to this issue would only smear Sates image further, as The State Indigenous queens would be seen to have won these crowns through the illicit means as portrayed in the leaked video or even worse means. It is not only about Miss Anambra now, because Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, and a Former Miss Tourism Nigeria, Current Miss Universe and many more Beauty Queens are all from Anambra State, and this video could put them in bad light, as they pursue their endeavours, and not only those already crowned, a video as this is capable of making it impossible for any Anambra Indigene to win a beauty pageant anywhere in the world. Therefore the only way to avoid all these backslash, stereotype and discrimination is to launch a full investigation into the matter, finding the causes and culprits, and avoiding a further occurrence of such.

Having known you as a woman of inestimable value, I am in good faith that you would consider my prayers, as it is in line with other women and mothers in the state, and we look unto you as the mother of the state to rise up to the occasion and save the image of Our dear ANAMBRA STATE and the Government as well, as we need logical answers to all the assumptions and opinions that have been trending on the social media.

Thanks for considering my prayers.
Yours Faithfully,
AISHA EDWARD
