CNPP DEMANDS JUSTICE IN FAYEMI'S APPEAL

By NBF NEWS

The Ekiti State chapter of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties has called on the members of the Court of Appeal to stand for the truth while reviewing the appeal intended to be filed by the Action Congress governorship candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

The CNPP said this in a statement by its chairman in the state, Mr. Tunji Ogunlola, and made available to our correspondent in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday.

It said, 'We hereby appeal to the honourable members of the Court of Appeal to ensure that justice is upheld in this matter. They should not allow any influence to deter them from doing justice. They should remember that God will also judge all of us one day.'

The CNPP, while appealing to President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that the Ekiti State issue was used as a mark of sincerity to his claim in respect of the rule of law and electoral reform, said that anything contrary would further make the nation a laughing stock in the comity of nations.
