MIMIKO HINGES NIGERIA'S DEVELOPMENT ON QUALITY EDUCATION

Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko on Tuesday justified his administration's massive investment in education, health and other critical sectors of the economy, saying such investments would guarantee the future of the children.

The governor, while granting audience in his office to the pupils of St. Louis Nursery and Primary Schools Akure, maintained that the future development of the country depended on the quality of education given to its future leaders.

He noted that his administration had embarked on several measures to protect the rights of children, including rights to quality education and healthcare, adding that a family court was being set up to take care of issues partaining to the rights of the children.

Mimiko, who advised the pupils to be committed to their study in a bid to attain greater heights in the future, however, disclosed that new generation public schools with state-of-the-art facilities that would enable them to compete with their peers any where in the world, were being built across the state.
