A Clarion Call To My Lawyer Friend

My Dear Friend,
I wonder why you persist with veiled support for these rogues...advising them to *be brave and refuse to make statements"....for some bogus immunity that I even doubt its existence!Yet, as a lawyer, you are trained and sworn to assist the judicial system to do justice to criminals and not defend them at all cost...by plotting their escape from due penitence!

The lawyer is trained to have higher loyalty to the larger society than his client...and these rogue judges are notyour de facto clients!You are an officer of the court and nota permanent or perpetual adversary of the court at the expense of justice.

Your chambers are in fact an annex or extension of the courtroom....leading some lawyers to inscribe the words:"Silence! Court In Session!" on walls of their chambers.

It is for this same reason that the Nigerian Law School takes pains to scrutinize its applicants prior to admission. I know you were not trained to have the mindset you presently harbour. Neither were so many Nigerian lawyers.

And skewed lawyers evolve into skewed judges. These are facts I know quite well, my dear friend....So, we now know that the NJC was fully aware of the sting operations by the SSS to arrest the rogue judges, theoperatives were equipped with valid search warrants, the NJC had received petitions against such judges...leading to their investigation... and the surprise element arose out the "top secret" tag that the operations require....considering the status of the culprits!
