ANA: President Congratulates Award Winning Author

The National President of the Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA, Mallam Denja Abdullahi has warmly congratulated the distinguished Author of Season of Crimson Blossom, Abubakar Adam Ibrahim who recently won the 2016 NLNG Nigeria Prize for Literature.

The President's congratulation message is contained in a statement that reads "on behalf of The Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA, i congratulate Abubakar Adams Ibrahim for emerging winner of the 2016 NLNG Nigeria Prize for Literature with his book Season of Crimson Blossom".

The statement added that "Abubakar has done a lot in promoting Nigerian writers and literature through his work as a literary journalist. He has also actively identified with the growth of ANA through his constructive engagements".

Mallam Denja Abdullahi noted with satisfaction that, the Award winning Author's attribute as a fine writer with painstaking dedication to his craft. He is also an example of that writer secure in his calling devoid of unnecessary exhibitionism and eccentricity. NLNG Nigeria Prize for Literature 2016 got a perfect winner there, the President expressed.

This Prize is collectively ours. We commend also the sheer brilliance of the other books on the shortlist and the literary camaraderie of Chika Unigwe and Elnathan. May we all live long to pluck more laurels, the statement concluded.
