Nemcare Doctors Conducted Press Club OPD

By NJ Thakuria Guwahati: Assam’s well known Nemcare hospital conducted the Saturday evening OPD at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) in northeast India, where Dr Nareswar Barman (Cardiology) and Dr Bikash Kumar Das (Medicine) provided free healthcare consultations to GPC members along with their close relatives.

Dr Hitesh Baruah, the chief of Nemcare hospital and a popular music director supervised the weekly clinic on 15 October 2016.

More than 25 participants also got their blood pressure sugar checked by the hospital nurses Sandhya Devi and Sumeya Syed.

The Nemcare hospital executive Biswajit Sarma along with Arup Barua supported the initiative.

The next ‘Evening with a Doctor’ program will be conducted by the city based Sun Valley diabetic hospital on 22 Oct.

The camp will begin at 4.30 pm and scheduled to continue till 7 pm.

Earlier, Dr Amit Saha of Swagat hospital conducted the camp. He was assisted by health workers namely Dhanada Thakuria, Sewali Boro along with Chandan Borgohain and Mrinal Thakuria in conducting the health camp.

The healthcare initiative at press club premises was started on 20 August with the presence of Dr Kashyap Kr Das (Medicine) along with health workers.

Dispur Hospitals Pvt Ltd under the leadership of Dr Jayanta Bardoloi took the initiative to raise a doctor’s chamber at the press club premises. Later the evening free healthcare programs were graced by Dr Swapnaav Barthakur (Medicine) and Dr Ruma Dutta (O& G) from Down Town Hospitals, Dr Nitin Gupta (Urology), Dr Juri Talukdar (General Practitioner) and Dr Debanga Borah (Cardiology) from Wintrobe Hospital, Dr Rajib Das (Cardiology) and Dr Bikash Rai Das from GNRC Group of hospitals and Dr Nazmul Haque (Medicine) from Narayana Super-Specialty Hospitals.
