Anita, ex-wife of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, remarries

The hope of ever mending the troubled marriage between Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and the estranged wife Anita has finally crashed.

A report by The Herald citing the Dawn-To-Dusk news in their publication of the 3rd of October indicated that Anita Oyakhilome, has remarried.

Anita Ebhodaghe, was formerly Anita Oyakhilome, a pioneer member of Christ Embassy, where she rose to become a pastor and eventually married Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in 1991 and with whom she had two daughters.

In 2014, it was in the news that Anita had filed for a divorce accusing her pastor -husband of indulging in illicit affairs with female members of the church. This came to the fore after months of rumours suggesting that all was not well with the marriage.

The couple's marital issues got messier and became irreparable. Shortly after, news of a suit for separation broke, and images of Anita which was on the website was removed with her name missing from subsequent editions of Rhapsody of Realities, the church devotional which she has co-authored for a long time.

The report from Dawn-To-Dusk, was generated after Pastor Anita introduced 'Schafer' to her maiden name as she authored her latest article. 'A simple prayer' as Anita Ebhodaghe Schafer.

The confirmation of the marriage was revealed in some of the approved comments. The writer, Frau Glauben, who attended the ceremony, said “Congratulations Pastor Anita for your new name.”

“We wish you all the best as you begin a new chapter in your life as you have moved on to the glory of God. Old things have passed away behold all things have become new. It was such a beautiful ceremony.”

“We are so excited for you and your family. We rejoice with you, pastor Anita  Schafer, God bless you MA.”
