President relegated his wife and insulted women – PDP

The PDP youth group also said the comment by Buhari has taken the country back to archaic days.

The Peoples Democratic Party National Youth Frontiers (PDPNYF) has slammed President Buhari for reportedly describing his wife, Aisha Buhari as a kitchen material.

Mrs. Buhari in an interview with BBC, alleged that some powerful people had taken over Buhari’s government.

The President, in what has been described as a joke by his media aide, Garba Shehu, said the First Lady belongs to his living room and kitchen.

The group through its National Coordinator, Usman Okai Austin said “The ‎outbursts of the president’s wife about his posture to governance is quite unfortunate and mismatch to the expectations of Nigerians and to worsen it, the response of President Buhari relegating his wife to his room and kitchen shows that Nigeria has been dragged to many centuries backward.

“It is unfortunate that a president who left Nigeria for Germany demeaned women right in front of Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, who happened to be a woman.”

The PDP youth group also said the comment by Buhari has taken the country back to archaic days.
