Consolidated Hallmark Insurance has said that it is partnering with Zenith Bank Plc, Intercontinental Bank Plc and Fidelity Bank Plc to make insurance accessible to citizens through the bancassurance strategy.

By this, the company plans to position its presence in the banking halls to make it products accessible to bank's customers.

A statement by the company on Saturday said, the three banks had deployed facilities for insurance transactions in their branches nationwide for the convenience of customers and non-customers alike.

The Managing Director, Consolidated Hallmark, Mr. Eddie Efekoha, said, the company embarked on the arrangement with the banks in order to bring insurance cover within easy reach of Nigerians by taking advantage of the branch network of the banks.

According to him, the partnership became necessary in view of the widespread counterfeiting of insurance certificates by unscrupulous individuals.

Efekoha noted that that the platforms would guarantee genuine source for motor insurance cover, as well as provide the statutory protection of up to N1m to motorists for any liability that they might incur against third parties in the course of usage of their vehicles.

He recalled that the company in 2008 pioneered online insurance transactions through Interswitch, which enabled online access to compulsory third party insurance for motor vehicles.
