BEVERLY HILLS, SEPTEMBER 08, (THEWILL) – The Department of State Security Services (DSS) has arrested Izuagie Mohammed a fraudster, who allegedly impersonated the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Mr. Idris Ahmed.

A statement from the Office of the AGF signed by Ifeanyi Okereke for the Deputy Director, Press and Public Relations revealed that Mohammed created a bogus Facebook account posing as the AGF and defrauded unwary members of the public.

“Some unscrupulous elements have created social media accounts and parading themselves on the platforms as the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF),” the statement read.

“By creating these social media accounts, the scammers are and may be defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.

“Mohammed, using a bogus Facebook account where he poses as the Accountant-General of Nigeria, had already defrauded some unwary members of the public, by promising to help them facilitate access to the Central Bank Empowerment Loans, among other dubious claims.”
