Police Recover Over 12 Children From Child Traffickers

Barely 24 hours after one Abigail popularly known as Madam Cash was arrested by the police in Delta State over allegations of child trafficking, 12 children who were declared missing have been recovered.

Investigations revealed that Madam Cash, an origin of Imo State has been involved in the busy of child stealing and trafficking has a bar which she uses as a disguise to whisk her victim’s children.

The bar located at Umuaji Kings Street in Asaba was last night destroyed by irate youths when her illicit act came to limelight.

It was gathered that three months ago Madam Cash car was flagged down by police on routine patrol and a child was found in her car but she allegedly bribed the police with the whooping sum of N2.5 million to clear herself from the case.

It was learnt that women from different communities in the state stormed the police headquarters with pictures and birth certificates of missing children for identification to claim their found children.

In another development, one Prophet Chinedu Strongson was apprehended in Ogidi, Anambra State over allegation of child trafficking by men of the Delta State police command.

Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Celestina Kalu confirmed the arrest, saying that investigation is still on going.

It would be recall that there was pandemonium in Asaba and Okpanam, a suburb of the Delta State capital over the activities of men of the underworld over the ways and manners the cases of missing children are reported.
