Ever thought of AU Commission Chairperson Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma as a radio presenter?

By African Union Commission (AUC)

Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission H.E. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will be a guest radio presenter on Johannesburg-based Power FM’s Power Talk radio show. Dr Dlamini Zuma will join the radio station as part of Power FM’s “#987Woman” which takes place annually in August as South Africa celebrates woman’s month.

The AU Commission Chairperson Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will be on air on 8 August 2016 between 09:00 and 12:00 CAT. She will join South Africa’s most accomplished women to take over the airwaves from 8-10 August 2016. As guest presenters, these influential women will share their perspectives on leadership, work, fun and family to highlight their individual personalities.

“#987Woman” is significant as the AU’s theme for 2016 is “African Year of Human Rights, with Particular Focus on the Rights of Women”. Under this theme the AUC is stimulating dialogue between AU Member States, regional intergovernmental institutions, Civil Society Organisations and development partners on the opportunities, gaps and solutions for enhancing women’s economic empowerment and ensuring that women are at the centre of sustainable development, peace, regional integration and economic growth in Africa.

“#987Woman” aims to celebrate South Africa’s women leaders in their respective spaces, while displaying their dynamism beyond what they are publicly renowned for.

The Chairperson’s radio show can be accessed be live on 8 August 2016 at 09:00 Central African Time (CAT) on www.powerfm.co.za
