Delta Women Hail Erhiatake Ibori

Delta women on Wednesday released praises on the member representing Ethiope West Constituency in the House of Assembly, Hon Erhiatake Ibori, describing her as an articulate lawmaker.

“Hon. Erhiatake Ibori is articulate and adept at explaining complex issues in a simple way. She is an astute legislator. She participates actively in the legislative processes of the House. Her contributions on legislative matters have helped in creating a new template on budgetary management in the state” they said.

Responding to a news report in an online news media on Hon Ibori, the women said the legislator rose effectively to the occasion during the valedictory ceremony held in honour of Late Felix Ibru.

“There was no murmur. And with the cream of the state’s social and political elite, who gathered to pay tribute to Olorogun Felix Ibru in Government House Asaba, Erhiatake Ibori delivered her father’s tribute with a voice capable of putting several world class broadcasters to shame.

Amidst intermittent applause from the audience, she delivered her speech. Her presentation held everybody spell bound and got them up in standing ovation, moments after she was back on her seat” Spokesperson of the Delta Women for Good Governance Forum (DWFGGF) said.

The women, who extolled the charming qualities of Hon Ibori, described her as a pride to Delta State.

“Hon Ibori’s conduct, mannerism, diction, wits and total command of the environment depicted her training, family background and exposure” they said.

In a statement in Asaba by Mrs. Omamoke Omene, the women attributed Ibori’s victory in the 2015 House of Assembly election in Ethiope West constituency to natural campaigning style coupled with her projects.

“Chief James Ibori is a household name in Delta State. Erhiatake Ibori participated in the Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emerged as the party’s flagbearer and won the House of Assembly election on merit.

They advised online publishers to concentrate on issues involving practical journalism.

“The news report doesn’t describe the Erhiatake we know or the intelligent lawmaker we are working with every day,” the women said.

The women also urged online journalists to desist from gossips aimed at ridiculing elected members of the Delta State House of Assembly”
