The scheduled Local Government Elections of Adamawa state holding today has shown to be recording low turn up of voters to exercise their franchise right.

The popular unit 002 in Ajiya ward of Yola North Local Government Where the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Former PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and other prominent Politicians could not show up for the election.

In the unit only the Minister of FCT, Hon. Bello Mohammed at exactly 11:30 was at the unit and casted his votes where he certified the exercise to be normal and smooth.

At about 10"15am in a polling unit in Bako ward inside Yelwa secondary school where the former Gubernatorial candidate of PDP, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu do cast his votes, it seen to have scanty legible voters as against the previous elections holding in that unit.

A woman who just casted her vote said: "I only manage to come for vote because of a simple solidarity, salaries are not paid to encourage people for the election".

Our reporter stood there for about 15 minutes before others are reluctantly coming around to vote

Information reaching us from other Local Government areas like Michika, Guyuk, Madagali and Shelleng revealed that some insensitive materials are yet to reach those areas and also experiencing low turn up of people to cast their votes.
