Newly appointed UNICEF Representative to Liberia presents letter of credence to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The newly appointed UNICEF Representative to Liberia, Mr. Suleiman Braimoh, presented his letter of credence to H.E. Marjon V. Kamara, the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia today.

During the meeting on Thursday, Mr. Braimoh expressed enthusiasm and affirmed his commitment to providing overall leadership in the development and implementation of the UNICEF country programme as well as supporting the Government in promoting the rights and wellbeing of the children of Liberia.

He further expressed his appreciation of the excellent cooperation and close partnership which exists between the Government of Liberia and UNICEF and hailed the Government of Liberia for successfully combating the Ebola virus outbreak in the country

Mr. Braimoh is a national of Nigeria who has extensive experience of over 18 years with UNICEF and served as Representative for Eritrea before being assigned to Liberia. Previously, he served as UNICEF Representative for Guyana and Suriname and subsequently as UNICEF Regional Chief of Programmes and Planning for South Asia.
