Kano state has Destroy fake food items worth 10.1 million Naira

Kano state govt has destroyed adulterate and expired food items worth over ten point one million naira.

Destroying the items at National Drug law and enforce ment Agency the state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje the was siezed by the Comsumers protection council at only one market which he described as an eye soul especially at this period of Ramadan.

Gov Abdullahi Umar Ganduje explained that the state govt during the stakeholders meeting has take a decision that kano should not be allow to be the centre of ilicit and illigal druga. He said

the govt has focus attention on the issue of confiscated substandamd and adulterated food items which he said its harzard to the life of the people.

Dr Abdullhi Umar Ganduje said govt will ensure the prosecution of anybody found with such adulterated and expired items and called on marketers to complement with govt effort aimed at protecting the markets from importing of such items.

On his part the state commissioner of commerce Alhaji Rabi'u Bako to Gov that the adulterated food items siezed from some unpatrotics nigerians which saculated in kano variouse markets at this period of Ramadan.

Also speaking the chairman singer Market Alh Yakasai called on the govt to take appropriate measures that will ensure the prosecution and sentence those found with such items as well as payment of heavy fine so as to serve as lesson to others.

Among those spoke at the occassion included the Acting chairman kano state consumers protection council pharmacist Gali Sule the representatives of NDLEA and NAFDAC.
