Fayose Inspects Project, Meets Traders

Fayose inspects project, meets traders Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Friday in Ado Ekiti paid an unscheduled visit to the construction site of ongoing ultra modern Oja Oba.

Mr. Fayose who visited the project site in company of the State Universal Basic Education Board Chairman, Senator Bode Ola, expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done said he was optimistic the project will be delivered to time.

A representative of Kaymon Construction Company, the firm handling the gigantic project, Engr. Jegede O. Kayode in his reaction to posers from newsmen said the company has up till date encountered no challenge regarding funding and other logistics in the course of executing the project.

Governor Fayose used the occasion of the visit to relate with traders from around Bisi Egbeyemi Market down to the central mosque axis(Oja Oba Annex) taking his time to explain to them how bad the financial situation of the state has become.

"Due to the downturn in the economy, there is need to educate our people and get them to understand the issues beyond sentiment and propaganda, no father will want his subject to suffer", the governor said.

Asked if he was not surprised by the level of understanding displayed by the traders, Mr. Fayose said "the people know I am straight forward, they know I will tell them the way it is, the economy is beyond propaganda, it's the reality. When you carry the people along, majority of them will understand".
