Delta Government Unveils Logo For 25 Years Anniversary

The Delta State government has unveiled the logo to depict the creation of Delta State 25 years ago, “this administration resolved to celebrate Delta at 25 to take stock of the journey so far, achievements recorded and plot further and better approaches at peaceful co-existence among the various ethnic groups.

New development paradigm and refocusing the fundamentals of government to achieve greater and result-oriented improvements in the lives of our people”, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said.

“It is with exceeding faith and commitment that I inform you of the resolve of this administration to deepen the development fundamentals of the state to make it primus inter pares among the committee of states in the nation”.

Governor Okowa who was represented by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, stated this Wednesday during a press conference to flag off activities for the 25th anniversary of the creation of Delta State, in Government House, Asaba.

According to the governor, “the idea for the celebration of Delta State silver Jubilee was motivated by the need to review the state of development of the state from inception, examine achievements made and explore the way forward for greater development”, disclosing that only recently his government celebrated one year in office with the commissioning of people-oriented projects.

The 25th year planning committee was constituted by the governor last year with the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, as its chairman, the committee also has the Commissioning for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah and others as its members.

Programmes lined up for the 25 years anniversary include: Beauty Pageant, Music concert, Delta investment, economic summit, grand gala and thanksgiving.

In order to facilitate an effective celebration of Delta at 25, the anniversary planning committee resolved to collaborate with the private sector, “the committee has since engaged a top light marketing communication consortium to assist the planning committee to draft this project”, stressing that the company Brandeye Marketing Consulting Company has commenced work.

Mr. Oritshefemi Adeleusi, of the Brandeye Marketing Consulting Limited threw light on the logo.
