Abuja Announced As Host Of 2016 African Achievers Awards As Nominations Opens

Recognised as the most prestigious honour for industrious African Achievers and Visionaries hosted for the past five years, Nigeria's Capital, Abuja has been announced as the official host for the 2016 African Achievers Awards.

The awards, which has been hosted by Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and the United Kingdom, has been received by revered Africans such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the late former President of Ghana, John Evans Atta-Mills, John Fashaneu, Platinumz Diamond, Dr Charles Dimnwaobi, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma etc.

The focus is to motivate all African leaders including the future leaders through recognizing the persons and organizations that have contributed remarkably to the development of Africa.

For the 2016 event, the management and board has opened nominations through www.africanachieversawards.org/nominate for the Public to be able to decide on who to award in diverse categories but not limited to the - Most Valuable African President, Sports man of the year, African journalist of the year, Charity organization of the year, African literature prize, Young entrepreneur of the year, African best airline (Domestic), African best airline (International), African Industrialist of the year, Award for quality education in North Africa, Award for quality education in Southern Africa, Award for quality education in East Africa, Award for quality education in West Africa and Award for peace keeping in Africa.

Nominations can be made between 25th May and 15th June this year, ahead of the main awards event slated for the latter part of the year.
