Estranged son of the Ibadan billionaire business mogul, Alhaji Alao Arisekola, Wole, the publisher of a tabloid In Ireland, Dublin has declared his intention to contest for the next political race in 2007in his state of origin, Ibadan. In a recent chat with City Flames, he said of the2oo7 political dispensation as does: “Ahead of the 2007 general elections, I, Wole Arisekola declared my intentions of contesting for the gubernatorial seat in Oyo state at the second meeting of Ibadan indigene in Europe. Over the last 3 years, I have been privileged to play important roles in the struggle to get rid of bad governance and undemocratic rule in Nigeria and many parts of Africa. Most parts these were roles played behind the scenes only known to central players in our democratic struggle and to discerning observers of the political terrain.

It is high time to arrest the crude privatisation of power that have undermined our collective development in the past two years.

and I believe I possess some qualities that can help transform Oyo State and into the cynosure of all eyes. I am confident that the people of our state possess a collective resolve to stop the rot and pursue the path of honour, integrity, hardwork and peace for which we are known in the quest to ensure holistic development.

I am ready to work as a servant and not a leader "I present my self not as one having all the solution to the problems of Oyo State but one who believes that the search for enduring solutions must begin with a consensus building.

And to be candid the two years governance of the present administration in our State has been a failure and nothing to show for it.
