Sometime in mid June 2015 , as patriotic Nigerians who wants to hold the new government accountable, we asked what president Buhari was doing, but his supporters were quick to remind us that we should give him time. Fair enough, time we have given him.

They also mentioned vividly and in braggadocios that Buhari’s administration was not even a month old, so we should allow him settle in the office. It took him three months to select some political allies and compensate them with ministerial positions irrespective of their qualification or lack of it thereof.

Subsequently, we asked yet again where this administration was heading, some Buharists and APC apologists said a new government’s direction is usually judged after the first 100 days, so we sat back, relaxed, prayed and waited, waited and waited for 100 days to come.

Finally, first 100 days was upon us. We thought asking in pidgin was better, maybe they would understand us better. “How far? wetin Buhari don achieve for e 100days?”

The reply we got was that this administration is different. Apparently, his idea of democratic system is either myopic, ill conceived or none existent. He does not mark 100 days, and we should wait until a year before demanding for his scorecard.

Well, today, May 29th 2016 officially make it one year since the APC and Buhari assumed power and as proud Nigerians, we are humbly asking the President, Buharists, APC and APC apologists, “what have you achieved so far?”

We are humble law abiding citizens and we believe there is need for us to know where our dear country is heading.

Has any of the following been achieved?
1. Public declaration of assets and liabilities?
2. Revival of Ajaokuta steel company?
3. Has the Federal Government added 1 MW of electricity to the national grid to improve electricity?

4. What about the 720,000 immediate jobs for the 36 states of the federation yearly (20,000 per state)?

6. Has provision of allowances to the discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months been actualised?

7. Making the economy one of the fastest-growing emerging economies in the world with a real GDP growth averaging 10% annually. What has Buhari done in that regard?

8. One free meal (to include fruits) daily, for public primary school?

These are the key ones we can think of at the moment. When would they be achieved? should we wait for four years or should we just forget about the promises?

May God bless Nigeria.
