In line with his commitment to enhance peace and community development, the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, has called on youths and community leaders to fetch out strangers and individuals causing unrest, perpetrating violence and threatening peaceful and harmonious coexistence in the communities.

The Deputy Speaker gave the charge in his office, when he received leaders of Ashaka community of Ndokwa East in his office in Asaba.

Osanebi noted that the interest of the present administration of Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa is the holistic prosperity of Deltans, and called on community leaders to be veritable tools in peace building in other to facilitate prosperity, noting that development and prosperity can not be experienced in an atmosphere of rancor.

Osanebi who frowned at the reports of security challenges in Ashaka, challenged the youth leaders in Ashaka to do their best and quickly fetch out strangers and enemies of peace in the locality, saying that they must justify the receipt of monies from Operation Feed your Neighbor. Osanebi said: "Let's make all effort to make Ashaka peaceful, talk to your youths they should know the individuals threatening the peace in Ashaka".

The community youth leader, further promised to do his best to unearth foreigners perpetrating evil in the community. "prove that you are getting aids from the government", Osanebi added.

The Deputy Speaker, who was responding to the community's request for more democratic dividends in Ashaka, thanked them for acknowledging the fact that he had affected the community positively in areas of appointments and social infrastructure. Moreover , he assured the community that he will do more for Ashaka people, in appreciation for their support and love for PDP which was demonstrated in the last general elections.

"I must tell you, I am happy with Ashaka. Before the last general elections, you called our attention to some issues and I quickly came in, settled the challenges and you totally forgave us, and proved that you truly forgave us the next day in your vote ."

Osanebi further promised the community to quickly undertake inspection of government projects in the community, ascertain the level of development in or there to enhance quick completion of same.

Projects and areas of interest that have been marked for urgent attention include: the ongoing government model school in Ashaka, electricity and some roads in the community.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation , Chief Obi Agada thanked the Deputy Speaker for the appointments he has given sons and daughters of Ashaka community and congratulated him on his elevation. They further prayed God to continue to elevate the Deputy Speaker so that Ndokwa East and Ndokwa nation be totally transformed.
