Efcc Secures Warrant To Detain Fani-kayode For Longer

SAN FRANCISCO, May 10, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured a warrant to continue to keep Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, the spokesman of the 2015 Presidential Campaign Organisation of former President Goodluck Jonathan beyond the limit allowed by law without charging him to court.

The controversial politician who turned himself in yesterday (Monday), is accused of receiving N840 million from the $2.1 billion election slush fund withdrawn from the account of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) at the CBN by former NSA, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

THEWILL gathered that the EFCC is insisting that Fani-Kayode refunds the money to government.

Billions of naira siphoned from government coffers during President Goodluck Jonathan administration have been recovered from several persons and corporations since the present Muhammadu Buhari government.
