Crescent University Decries Fake Admissions, Fraudsters

Crescent University, Abeokuta has called on parents and admission seekers into the institution to beware of fraudsters who now use the name of the university to advertise 2016/2017 admissions online.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, in a release by the Public Relations Officer,Idris Katib, described the operators of the website www.akahitutors.org , lavincoedu.com , abeokuta.adsafrica.com.ng and other scammers as admission racketeers who are the prowl to dupe unsuspecting members of the public.

These admission scammers, he said, ask parents and admission seekers of Crescent University to pay Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N12,500) into private accounts for the collection of forms and post-UTME screening.

He also warned members of the public to desist from paying any admission or screening fees into private accounts of purported university representatives.
