Members of the Legacy party of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa state have waded into the current infighting rocking the Bayelsa Chapter of the party, even as they indicted the former Bayelsa State Governor and candidate of the APC in the Bayelsa December Governorship election for what they described as his overbearing attitude.

The leader of the delegation and the former running mate to ACN Gubernatorial candidate in Bayelsa 2011 guber poll, Nalaguso Chris Alagoa who disclosed while briefing newsmen at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, said the current brawl in Bayelsa APC is a fight between the party and Chief Timipre Sylva who they accused of allegedly trading with the party's slots.

Algoa noted that "what is happening in Bayelsa State is not a fight between the chairman of the party, Chief Tiwei Orurumie and the Leader His Excellency Timipre Sylva, is not so. It is a struggle of the party against one man who in his wisdom thinks he will trade with what we have achieved.

The Legacy Party members however, said they are not after furthering the crisis in the Bayelsa chapter of the party rather they are asking for dialogue to give room for those who have worked for the party to reap the fruit of the labour.

They drew the attention of the National leadership to the fact that the leadership of comrade Tiwei is appreciated and accepted in all the nook and crannies of Bayelsa where the party members are and therefore wanted the party to be guided as they take decision on the crisis..

"We know wearing the shoe, that all the Ward Chairmen are with the chairman of the party."

"six of the local government chairmen out of eight, you know we have eight local government in Bayelsa state, six are with the chairman."

Alagoa also said, the state chairman is not fighting a personal fight, but the course of the Bayelsa state chapter of the APC and as such, members of the legacy parties are aligning themselves with him.

The Legacy party said Sylva was not on ground in Bayelsa, but due to his influence as a former governor he was made the APC Leader in Bayelsa.

Earlier, APC Local Government Chairmen Forum and the Ward Chairmen forum spoke on the crisis even as they asked for peaceful resolution of the crisis in the interest of the party.

The group who spoke separately however, pledged their loyalty for the party stressing never to allow the crisis make them sabotage Governorship tussle at the Tribunal.
