Shaffa District Development Association Donates to Victims of Insurgency

The Shaffa District Development Association ( SDDA) has donated assorted drugs, mosquito nets and foodstuff to victims of insurgency in the District of Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State as part of its objectives of fostering unity, peace and rendering assistance to those in need.

At a brief presentation ceremony held at the residence of the District Head Alhaji Mohammed Musa Dautiya in Shaffa town , the Coordinator of the Association Mr. Pindar Garba Wakawa accomoanied by its Caretaker committee Chairman Alhaji Isa Mustaoha Balami briefed the District Head of the aims and objectives for forming the Association and thanked the Borno State Deputy Governor Alhaji Usman Mamman Durkwa and the Commissioner of health Dr. Haruna Mshelia for their role in seeing to the success of the Association.

He explained that both of them being members of the Association particioated actively in providing the drugs worth millions of Naira and urged other prominant members of the Association to emulate their good gesture.

Hon. Ayuba Steven Wajawa member representing Hawul Local Government at the Borno Srate House of Assembly also recieved commendation for his numerous assistance to SDDA.

Mr. Pindar Garba Wakawa also revealed plans by the Association to Build a befiting Heakth centre in Shaffa by the Association in the near future.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the items to the District Head by the Deputy Governor Alhaji Usman Durkwa who commended the Association for embarking on such an important venture adding that his doors are always open to the association for advise and assistance .

In his remarks the District Head , Alhaji Mohammed Musa Dautiya expressed gratititude to the SDDA and prayed for the officials for more success in the future. He was also full of gratitude to the state governor Alhaji Kashim Shettima for appointing Alhaji Usman Durkwa from Shaffa as his Deputy.
