Olisa Metuh Slumps, Rushed To The Hospital

BEVERLY HILLS, April 26, (THEWILL) – National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh has reportedly slumped in Abuja and has been rushed to the hospital.

The incident occurred at the National Secretariat of the party at Wadata Plaza in Abuja at an event with the Members of the National Working Committee of the party where the party's National Chairman, Sen. Ali Modu Sherffi, was to inaugurate the members of the caretaker committee for Borno and Yobe States in preparation for the party's National Convention.

Metuh was about taking his seat inside the NWC hall, when he slumped and landed on the floor.

Security operatives attached to Sheriff and those at the event, rushed to his rescue but he was already on the floor and was rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja.

Members of the NWC who were present includes Victor Kwon, National Legal Adviser; Dr. Kema Chikwe, National Woman Leader; Prof. Wale Oladipo, National Secretary; and Bala Buhari, National Treasurer.

Metuh is currently facing a seven-count criminal charge at the Federal High Court in Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

As at the time of filling this report, there was no statement on his health and it was unclear if he had been discharged from the hospital.
