"Transmit Prosperity Dividends To The Grassroots", Osanebi Charges Political Appointees
The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has charged political appointees in Delta State to be reliable channels of conveying the dividends of the prosperity agenda of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to the people in the communities and grassroots.
Osanebi gave the charge in his office in Asaba when he received his aides, appointees and support staff from the constituency.
He urged the appointees to see their appointments as empowerment and as such empower others no matter how small, thereby affecting the lives of same and in so doing, transmitting packages of the prosperity government of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to the people in the communities and grassroots.
He noted that he alone can not meet the social cum economic need of the people, but as much as possible, appointees should imbibe the culture of lending helping hands to others, irrespective of the amount, quantity or quality of materials given, but something should be given out and lives touched.
He said:" let your people in your wards feel the impact of prosperity. I commend the unity that exists within the staff and that is very important. Delta state is passing through a tunnel now, and there's a great light at the end of this tunnel, so let's do our best with hope of greater things to come and better tomorrow".
He further harped on oneness, unity of purpose, charging aides not to be distracted pursuing the core mission and objective of the government. "Let us continue in this oneness, following up with the SMART agenda, as we make progress in tandem".
He also encouraged them to be more people oriented, putting the interest of the people first.
Earlier, the Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Speaker, Chief Ugo Asibelua told the Deputy Speaker, that they came to thank him for his magnanimity and kindness towards them, applauding him for his efforts and effective representation of Ndokwa East people in the Delta State House of Assembly and prayed God for greater lifting for him and his family.
