BEVERLY HILLS, April 17, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Army has sent Ojogbane Adegbe, a colonel and Aide De Camp to former President, Goodluck Jonathan, to complete his promotional military training course in the United Kingdom.

Adegbe who was earlier recalled by the Army on February 10, following allegations of his involvement in the $2.1 billion arms deal (Dasukigate) involving the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki was granted leave to finish up the course.

His return to the UK comes a month after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) released him from a prolonged detention granted on the orders of an Abuja High Court, after Adegbe filed a suit against the commission over a prolonged infringement on his fundamental human rights.

There were indications that the Royal College of Defence Studies, United Kingdom, where Adegbe is studying, had written to him stating that he would be allowed to continue his studies once he was released by the Nigerian army.

Sources also informed THEWILL that Adegbe's release back to the UK is more of an effort by the army authorities to enable him complete his promotional course abroad.
