Kano reiterates commitment to execute quality projects

The Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment to execute qualitative projects that will impact on the people of the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by Balarabe Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer in the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, and made available to newsmen in Kano.

The statement stated that the Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Dr. Farouk Bibi-Faruk, gave the assurance during the signing of a contract between the state and Hydro Limited.

It stated that the contract was for the construction of the dual carriageway of Kings Garden-Kwanar Tudun Wada Road.

The statement stated that the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led administration had awarded contracts for dualisation of 10 roads in the state.

This is part of the government’s effort to ease transportation difficulty and promote the economic sector in the state, the statement added.

According to the statement, the state government will continue to execute viable projects so as to meet the aspiration of the people in the state.

In his remarks, the Managing Director, Kano State Urban Planning and Development Agency, Alhaji Bashir Mudi,said the state government had also completed some of the road projects started by the previous administration.

Mudi said the roads were Post office Road, Ahamadiyya Road, Niger Street, Dorowa Road, Lagos Street and Kwanar Dawanau to Yantaya Road.
