The Osun State chapter of the Action Congress has berated the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Chief Iyiola Omisore, for saying the Ekiti State governorship candidate of AC, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, is not qualified to rule the state.

Omisore, who spoke in Osogbo, on Saturday, said Fayemi had never worked as a public officer, saying it was wrong of the candidate to 'make the State House his first post-NYSC job.'

The Ile-Ife-born politician also lambasted the crop of governorship aspirants that had shown the desire to contest the Osun governorship race with him, saying most of them lacked the requisite experience for the job.

But the spokesperson, Osun AC, Mr Gbenga Fayemiwo, on Monday, faulted Omisore, saying Osun had not benefited from Omisore's 'so-called experience.'

Fayemiwo, in an interview with our correspondent, said 'What experience has Omisore got? What has his so-called experience profited Osun or Nigeria. Who was he before he became deputy governor to Chief Bisi Akande? What experience did he have before he became deputy governor?'

Omisore, who said his disagreement with former Governor Akande led him to political success, added that he owed no grudge against Akande.

Fayemiwo continued, 'Dr. Kayode Fayemi is a highly cerebral personality, who has laid his potential, talents and skills at the doorstep of service. Who is better read between Fayemi and Omisore? Omisore should check out his facts before insulting a Ph.D holder.

'The level of decadence and rot that the Peoples Democratic Party has unleashed on Nigeria is lost on Omisore and all hypocrites in the PDP fold. Ghana , South Africa and other serious African nations have left Nigeria behind under the watch of PDP misrule and Omisore is talking about experience.'
