Final Goodbyes For Nomoreloss Service Of Songs And Final Burial

Two weeks after the passing away of a great musician Olumuyiwa Osinuga Aka “Mr. Nomoreloss”, his service of songs took place on Friday, 7th of April 2016 at Koga Studios, 2 Bolaji close, off Kudirat Abiola Way, Alausa Ikeja.

Hundreds flocked, It was well attended by his family which consists of his wife, daughter, father and siblings; celebrities, socialites and friends such as Rugged Man, Weird M.C, Yinka Davies, Joyce, Tony Bob Manuel, Omo Baba, Daddy Showkey, Nigga Raw, Edi Lawani, Tony Okoroji (Coson Chairman), Efe Omorogbe (Now Muziq), The Ibru Sisters, Puffy Tee, Gbenga Adeyinka, J. Martins, Ego and more.

It was a sad experience for all who attended and had the opportunity of meeting the Music legend.

A platform was given to close friends and colleagues to pay their tributes to him. There was also a medley performance of some of his most popular songs by Artistes. It got everyone on their feet reminiscing on the gift of the great composer and musician who left a remarkable legacy in the Entertainment industry.

SERVICE OF SONGS
Final Burial Friday 8th April 2016
“Mr. Nomoreloss” was finally laid to rest in the bosom of the Lord on Friday, 8th April 2016 at the Ikoyi Cemetery after the church service which took place at Four Square Church, Norman Williams, Off Keffi Street, Ikoyi, Lagos Nigeria.

It was indeed a bitter experience for everyone who came to pay their last respect to the deceased.

In attendance were family, friends and well wishers such as DJ Jimmy Jatt, Edi Lawani, Ade Bantu, Jaywon, Sasha, Princess, Yinka Davies, Rugged Man, Omo Baba, Righteous Man, Sound Sultan, Lepacious Bose and many others. There were testimonies of the lasting impact Nomoreloss has left in the lives of people who met him while he was alive.

A farewell song was performed by Yinka Davies before his body was finally laid to rest which literally had everyone in tears.

A group of fans in attendance had this to say "Nomoreloss will always be alive in our hearts. He is "Still standing" to us".

Nomoreloss is survived by his wife, 5 year old daughter, father, siblings and extended family.

ABOUT NOMORELOSS
OLUMIUYIWA OSINUGA aka NOMORELOSS was born in Lagos western Nigeria in the 70's. He attended A.D.R.A.O . International school, VI, Lagos for his secondary and primary education. His basic background played a huge role in his appreciation for classic music. He proceeded to study the rudiments of music from one of Nigeria's greatest instrumentalist and jazz saxophonist KUNLE AJAYI.

He started out in the world of entertainment as a rapper while in high school and later on moved on to master of ceremony at various events. An accomplished stand -up comedian, mc, musical video director as well as television host, he was also a producer of both music and television programs.

He directed musical videos for artists such as LEXY DOO, JAGUNLABI, JAH BORNE, CIMION, the gospel sensation FOLAKE UMOSEN and played project coordinator and producer for the video CD of RUGGED MAN’S THY KINGDOM COME ALBUM.

With role models such as EBENEZER OBEY, KING SUNNY ADE, FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI, ORLANDO OWOH, ORLANDO JULIUS, IK DAIRO, KING WASIU AYINDE MARSHAL{KWAM 1}, it is easy to see where and how this music researcher /songwriter/singer draws his inspiration.

With a fusion of R&B, pop, jazz, reggae and jazz with an underlying tone of west African high life, his conviction that art must take material from its environment has led him to create a style that is unique in its appeal but most certainly soulful in its delivery which has been labelled....NEW- HIGH-LIFE.

Gone too soon! Rest in peace.
