The Special Guest of Honour,
The Chairman of the Occasion,
The Dean Ternopil Ivan Pluj National Technical University,

Guests of Honour,
Our Dear Nigerian Community Members In Ukraine,
My Ever vibrant Excos and The Entire Members Of Ukrainian Families Present Here,

There comes a day in our lives when we have to end what seems like a lifetime to start and welcome a new beginning, today is definitely one of those days.

Before I say anything, I will like to appreciate the entire members of my excos and members of the Nigerian community in Ukraine for their great and wonderful support for giving us this opportunity to function as interim leaders for the past six months. We also want to appreciate the facilitators who have been there throughout our stay and for their support from when we started and now we are about to leave gracefully. We also want to thank the Nigerian Embassy for their co-operation, we are really grateful to every one of you. Though, after declaring us wanted for endorsing President Muhammadu Buhari, we have forgiven them in good faith, I guess they now understand that destiny can only be delayed but can never be denied.

Our tenure was a huge success, but we had few challenges which we conquered with wisdom and understanding. We inculcated good morals among Nigerian communities and ensured that they did all what was there to be done in the right order. Our biggest challenge was working with and Embassy who had no respect for it own people, I personally will never forgive the Nigerian Embassy over the role they played in December 2013 when we lost two great Nigerian students at the Donetst National Technical University. We urge the new excos to continue with the good we have achieved and to do something better in order to leave good memories in the hearts of the Nigerian Community here in Ukraine and ensure the host country have a reason to be proud of our stay in Ukraine.

We assure everyone that as we leave here, we owe our tributes to the Ukrainian society as a whole. We are really grateful to have been part of this wonderful institution.

We pray this institution grow from strength to strength, and also progress in every aspect even as we proceed to begin our lives.

Thank you.
Comrade Ahmed Omeiza Lukman
(Outgoing Chairman Nigeria Community In Ukraine)
