Rivers PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah Commends Gov Wike Over Choice Of Venue For Retreat

By Rivers State PDP

The chairman of Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah has given Governor Nyesom Wike a pat on the back for hosting the event in the State and providing the enabling environment for the ongoing capacity building retreat for State senior government officials.

The Retreat in Onne, Eleme Local Government Area is a marked departure from the former Governor Rotimi Amaechi administration’s way of frittering away the State resources by hosting such events outside the State, Bro Obuah said on the sideline of the ongoing retreat.

The choice of Onne suburban as the venue of this high caliber gathering to rub minds and exchange ideas on how best to improve service delivery for sustainable development in the State according to the State PDP boss, will not only guard against the usual avoidable wastes in holding such functions outside the State but also showcase the tourism potentials of the State which subsequently attracts foreign investments to the State.

Bro Obuah also eulogized Gov Wike for his foresight to use the occasion to prove to the whole world that there is relative peace in the State contrary to the negative impression being created by the failed opposition to disparage his administration.

Bro Obuah said Gov Wike’s unruffled posture and nature in the face of provocations has remained the pivotfor rapid infrastructural development in the State, and enjoined His Excellency not to relent.

He reassured the governor of the party’s maximum co-operation to achieve set objectives and wished all participants in the capacity strengthening Retreat a very successful outing.
